Social Work

Social work support aims to increase your wellbeing through helping you to meet your needs (including physical, psychological, social, financial, and spiritual) in the community.

This support is tailored to your unique situation, goals, and needs.

Social work support may be ongoing, or a one-time session to help with something specific.

Social work support might involve the following:

• Looking at what formal and informal supports you can access, and linking you with them

  • This may include case management, and helping your support networks to work collaboratively

• Assisting you to access and navigate services, such as Centrelink

• Navigating processes, such as legally changing your name.

• Finding fun and engaging opportunities that align with your interests

• Implementing strategies to support meeting counselling goals

• Providing you with information and resources relevant to your situation

• Support with those menial but overwhelming tasks like filling in a form or booking an appointment

Social work support is provided as a free service!

Social work support is primarily offered to active counselling clients. Our social worker receives referrals internally from our counsellors.

If you would like to access social work support, you can mention this to your counsellor or request the referral form at reception. If you are a new client, you can mention this during triage.
